CONSUMER ALERT: San Fran. Co. Issues Tofu Recall

Even tofu isn’t safe from the recall craze.

Quong Hop and Company of San Francisco is recalling certain packages of Soy Deli vacuum-pack firm ni gari tofu.

The company earlier announced a recall of all packages of Soy Deli tofu dated December 17th.

The expanded recall includes 30-ounce Soy Deli ni gari tofu dated October 17th and 12-ounce Soy Deli water-packed tofu dated October 9th.

The products may be contaminated with Listeria, a microorganism that can cause serious or fatal infections in children, the elderly or those with weakened immune systems.
