Gusty Conditions Remain In The Coachella Valley

Gusty conditions in the Coachella Valley are expected again today as a fast-moving cold front sweeps over the region.

A National Weather Service wind advisory is in effect until 2 p.m.

“Winds are expected to reach 20 to 35 mph tonight and local gusts could get as high 50 mph,” Steve Vanderburg of the NWS said. “The winds won’t really calm down until Thursday.”

In Palm Springs, police closed Gene Autry Trail at the wash yesterday afternoon due to blowing sand.
