Parts Of Escondido Back Open For Residents To Return

Escondido officials are allowing residents to re-enter the Rancho San Pasqual and Rancho Vista Monte neighborhoods. No homes were damaged ordestroyed in those areas. Earlier Wednesday, the Sonata/Sierra Linda neighborhoods were re-opened.

All other evacuated areas in Escondido are still closed to residents due to the possibility of shifting winds and flare-ups.

An updated Evacuation Zone Map is posted on the city’s Web site, and residents are advised to continue checking www.escondido.orgregularly for information on when they will be able to return home.

A “Return Home” hotline has also been set up specifically to provide re-opening information for Escondido residents only, at (760) 839-6262.
