Man Steals Stun Gun, Other Items At Desert Regional
PALM SPRINGS – Police said Thursday they need help identifying a man who walked into Desert Regional Medical Center on Feb. 9 and took a briefcase containing several items, including a stun gun and hospital identification card.
The man, who had on a doctor’s coat over dark clothes, walked into the office of the hospital’s director of security and took the briefcase containing a Bluetooth device, pearl necklace, stun gun, cell phone and a hospital ID, said police Sgt. Mitch Spike.
The briefcase was tan in color with a U.S. Marine Corps emblem on it, Spike said.
Investigators said it was difficult to provide a description of the suspect because of the angle of the surveillance video.
