Family Meets Blood Donors Who Saved Their Child

LA QUINTA – LifeStreamblood centerintrouced the Tanner family to Kathrine Meyers and Tyler Johnson, the blood donors who saved their two-year-old daughter’s life.

Natalie Tanner was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer atthree-months-old. No more than 350 cases are diagnosed each year. LifeStream blood donors provided the lifesaving components Natalie needed during her neurosuergery at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

“If it wasn’t for them, she wouldn’t be here,” Natalie’s mother, Kristen Tanner said. “They gave her a chance.”

LifeStream serves 43 medical facilities and must receive more than 500 donations daily in order to support 175,000 transfussions annually. For more information, contact LifeStream at www.LStream.org.
