Missing La Quinta Woman’s Landlord Speaks To News Channel 3

LA QUINTA -On May 28th, police found a burned-out car near Avenue 66 and Martinez Road in Thermal. Days later, a concerned family member reported 45-year-old Gloria Garza missing. Garza used to drive the car. Garza’s former landlord says it was not surprising that police found the car in Thermal. That’s because, he says, she lived there and other places.

“She lived sometime in Thermal, sometime in Indio,” says Garza’s landlord Faustino Martinez. “She helped me clean the house…and I gave her a place to sleep.”

Martinez showed us Garza’s former room. He pointed out some of her personal belongings are still there, including her bank card and family pictures. Martinez says Garza took all her clothes and left. He last saw her on May 26th. He says he doesn’t know where Garza is.

There’s still a lot of questions surrounding this case. La Quinta Police consider the disappearance suspicious. Police are not ruling anyone or anything out at this point, including foul play.

Garza is Hispanic, 5’4″, and weighs 160 pounds. Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call the La Quinta Police Department.
