AS SEEN ON KESQ: Operation Safehouse Supplies Drive

THOUSAND PALMS – Operation Safehouse helps more than 1,000 at-risk teens in Riverside County every year.

Butduring these tough times, though, they are the ones asking for help.

A group of about 150 high school students is answering that call launching Operation Safehelp to gather donations for the struggling shelter.

Operation Safehouse operates a shelter in Riverside and in Thousand Palms.

Operation Safehouse is looking to the community for its supplies drive. It is requesting the following items:

Bath towels Wash cloths Pillows Blankets Twin & full size sheets Soap Lotion Shampoo & conditioner Deorderant Tooth brushes Tooth paste Hair brushes & combs Toiler paper & paper towels Sponges Cleaning supplies Dish soap Liquid laundry soap Bleach Paper cups & paper plates Coffee cups Napkins Distilled vinegar Potatoes Canned soap Flip flops Black shorts Grey or black t-shirts
