Fire Damages Four Businesses On El Paseo

PALM DESERT – Four businesses swill be closed on Friday after sustaining damage in a late-night fire on El Paseo, fire officials said.

Fire crews told News Channel 3 that the 2-alarm fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. Thursday on the north side of El Paseo, between LarkspurLn. and San Pablo Ave.

Frasca Jewelers, Pastry Swan Bakery, The Store Keeper and Pampered Bath all sustained extensive smoke and water damage, firefighters said.

Estimates of the cost of the damage were not immediately available. Fire investigators were still working Thursday night to determine the fire’s point of origin.
