Driver Jailed After High-Speed Chase

RANCHO MIRAGE -A Palm Desert woman is in jailafter a high-speed chase through Rancho Mirage.

Police say they tried to stop 49-year-old Tamara Lehman near Highway 111 and Rancho Road.

But instead, she took off, swerving and making them think she was drunk.

The chase ended when her whiteBMW collided with another vehicle at Bob hope and Gerald Ford.

Lehman is in custody accused of felony evasion, DUI, and possessing marijuana and methamphetamine for sale.

No one was hurt.
