Cathedral City Armed Robbery Suspect Sought

CATHEDRAL CITY -Police say a man who held up a Jiffy Lube store Sunday night is still on the loose.

It happened around 5 p.m. on the corner of Ramon Road and Cielo Vista Road, according to Sgt. Corwin de Veas with the Cathedral City Police Department.

Police say a man walked in, pulled a handgun on employees, then robbed the cash register and a safe.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, between 5’7″ and 5’9″, about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, running westbound on Ramon Road.
