Bay Area Shaken By Another Earthquake

SAN JOSE -The San Francisco Bay area has been hit by a light earthquake for the second straight day.

There are no reports of injuries or damage after the magnitude-3.8 quake struck around 11:48 Friday morning about 11 miles northeast of San Jose.

A 4.1-magnitude temblor struck the same area Thursday, also not causing any damage or injuries.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the latest quake was felt as far north as Santa Rosa.

USGS seismologist David Oppenheimer says the quakes are part of a series of temblors triggered by the Calaveras fault.

A 3.0-magnitude quake was also reported in the area on Wednesday night.
