Rancho Mirage’s Alan Seman Dies

RANCHO MIRAGE -A longtime Rancho Mirage city councilman who fought in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II died today at the age of 84.

Alan Seman died following a battle with pancreatic cancer with his wife Jeanette at his side, according to city officials.

Fourth District Supervisor John J. Benoit today offered the following comments in regards to the untimely passing of Rancho Mirage City Councilman Alan Seman:

“I am saddened by the sudden news of Alan Seman’s departure. My heart is with Alan’s wife, Jeanette, and their entire family. Alan had his hand in every decision affecting Rancho Mirage, and greatly influenced policies for the entire desert region. He was trusted because of his honesty and integrity, and few could match the energy and passion he devoted to everything he was involved with. He leaves a great legacy of heroic service to his country and community.”
