Lake Elsinore Fire 50% Contained
LAKE ELSINORE -Firefighters say they’ve halted the progress of a 150-acre wildfire burning in Riverside County near Lake Elsinore.
U.S. Forest Service spokesman Jake Rodriguez says the fire broke out shortly after noon yesterday in the Tenajaarea near Ortega Highway.
It is now50 percent contained.
The fire is in the Ortega Mountains of the Cleveland National Forest, about 10 miles west of Lake Elsinore.
There are no reports of damage or injuries.
