Family Killed In Mobile Home Fire Remembered At Memorial
PALM SPRINGS-Hundreds paid their respects to the family during a memorial at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Palm Springs. Family friend, Alexia Vidal, says, “They were taken too soon.”
On New Year’s Day at 5:30 am,a mobile home fire killed 30 year-old Rosa Silva, her boyfriend Telesforo Hernandez-Perez, her children 7 year-old Sergio Hernandez,6 year-old Selena Hernandez and 11year-old Pamela Sanchez. Vidal says, “The kids were excellent, they never had an enemy, everyone loved them. Rosa and Telesforo wereloved by everybody.”
The extended family and friends are taking care of 13 year-old Ciria Silva, the lone survivor. She was not home at the time of the fire, herentire family was killed in the blaze. During the memorial mass, Father David Foxen said,”After everything this family has been through, as it says in the scripture you have thepromise of life and the promise of healing.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The family will bury the family after the coroner is done with the investigation.
