Short-Lived Tornado Spotted In Blythe

BLYTHE -A possible tornado has caused widespread damage throughout the city of Blythe.

Radar detected a possible short-lived tornado about five miles west of the Blythe Airport, the weather service reported. A less-severe tornado watch will remain in effect until 9 p.m.

There are reports of severe damage in some areas, as well as 70mph+ winds. At least 3 big rigs are blown over, and Interstate 10 is now shut down in the area.
