Wintry Weather Hits High Desert

YUCCA VALEY – Snow is falling in the high desert as the fourth round of storms hits Southern California.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of the high desert areas of San Bernardino County.

Snow will continue to fall this morning, heavy at times before mixing with rain by later this morning. The snow or mix of snow and rain will become all rain by this afternoon aswarmer air moves into the area. * snow levels…snow levels will be around 2500 to 3000 feet this morning before rising to 4000 to 5000 feet by noon today. * total snow accumulations…up to 4 inches of snow are expected below 5000 feet by midday today. As much as 4 to 6 inches are possible above that. * winds…southeast winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts around 30 mph. locally higher gusts are possible in the mountains. * impacts…snow will cause travel inconveniences.
