‘Dancing With The Stars’ Co-Host Quits Show

LOS ANGELES -Sassy Samantha Harris will be quitting ABC’s competition reality show “Dancing with the Stars.”

The co-host says she will not be returning to show when it starts its 10th season on March 22, Access Hollywood confirms

She tells People “‘Dancing with the Stars’ could not have been more of a dream job. I loved every single second of it and I’ve made lifelong friends at the show.”

The love is equally as strong for Harris by the network brass: “It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Samantha since she joined the ‘DWTS’ team in Season 2,” executive producer Conrad Green said in a statement to Access. “She will be much missed, but always part of the ‘DWTS’ family. We support her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

She tells Us Magazine that she taking on “expanded responsibilities on The Insider.”

The 36 year-old has also appeared on E! News, and “Extra.” She joined co-host Tom Bergeron as co-host for season two in 2006. She replaced Lisa Canning.

And just how does co-host Bergeron feel about losing her? “I’ve been known to try to twist arms behind the scenes,” he tells People. “I’m hoping this frees her up for us to have her as a contestant.”

Her replacement on “Dancing with the Stars” has not been announced.
