Condo Fire Sends Resident To The Hospital

INDIO -A resident suffered minor smoke inhalation today in a fire that broke out in an Indio condominium.

The blaze was reported at 8:55 a.m. at the Summer Breeze Condominiums at 47395 Monroe St. near Dr. Carreon Boulevard, said Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.

More than a dozen firefighters contained the flames within about 10 minutes to a small area of one room, according to Hagemann, who said the cause of the fire was under investigation.

The resident was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor smoke inhalation, she said.
