Teen Hit & Killed In Banning Caught On Tape

BANNING – Security video from Ray’s RV Sales and Service shows 17 year-old Cody Rodenbucher hit and killed as he walked by they side of the road.

Diana Sereika saw the scene driving her daughter to work.

“Kind of appeared that if a vehicle hit him he should have still been in the street so it did kind of appeared he might have been drug off to the side,” says Sereika, who lives near the collision.

And he was.

Video shows two people dragging the body off the side of road then running off.

Police say Rodenbucher was from a Yucaipa group home. It’s unclear if the other 2 witnesses are from the same home. Investigators have some questions for them.

“Where they were going. Where they were walking in relation to the vehicle and in relationship to the road so we can figure out what transpired,” says Banning Police Chief Leonard Purvis.
