Yucca Valley Infant Killed In Murder-Suicide

TWIN PEAKS – The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an apparent murder/suicide involving an infant from the high desert.

Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, sheriff’s deputies located a vehicle along a Old Toll Road, north of Highway 189in Twin Peaks, near Lake Arrowhead.

Inside the vehicle, they found the bodies of Stephen Garcia, 25,from Pinion Hills, and his nine-month old son, Wyatt Garcia, from Yucca Valley.

Deputies say they got a report Saturday that the man had taken his son during a court-ordered visit, and had threatened to kill both himself and the little boy.
