More Home Invaders Hit Indio

INDIO – Riverside County Sheriff Deputies are investigating an invasion in the Indio area.

They say the incident was reported at 5:15am Friday in the S. Palo Verde neighborhood across Birch Street.

Authorities tell News Channel 3 two men made their way inside the home through an unlocked door. They were confronted by the person living there, and eventually fought with the suspects. They got away in a silver colored SUV.

Riverside County Sheriff Deputies saythe resident suffered an injury to the left eye, but should be ok. Right now, authorities are looking for 2 suspects in the surrounding area.

This comes after a series of other home invasions in the Coachella Valley. The latest happened just yesterday.

In Bermuda Dunes two men responding to an ad for a car for sale were the alleged culprits.

It happened at a home on the 41-400 block of Adams Street.

Police say two men knocked on a woman’s front door just before noon asking about the car. They then pulled out guns, and forced their way inside taking computers, cash, and other items.

The suspects are both Hispanic, 5’6″, one is 200 poundswith a shaved head. The other is 180 pounds with short, dark hair.
