Local Dance Instructor To Face Criminal Charges
A school dance instructor accused of inappropriate sexual relationships with underage girls in the Coachella Valley is due in court next week for arraignment on criminal charges.
Karl Green, who is a dance instructor for several high schools and private studios in the Coachella Valley, faces charges of unlawful sex with a minor, sexual penetration with a foreign object, oral copulation and a misdemeanor count of molesting a child under 18.
Green, 27, is free on $50,000 bail pending arraignment Tuesday on charges involving two alleged victims whose ages are not revealed in court documents.
Green allegedly met one of the minors at Desert Valley All-Star Maverick dance studio in the 73600 block of Dinah Shore in Palm Desert and had sex with her in a house in that city, according to sheriff’s Deputy Herlinda Valenzuela.
He is accused of having a sexual relationship with the girl between May 2007 and October 2008, according to court records.
Green is suspected of molesting the second girl in July 2007, court records state.
Investigators believe Green may have also solicited other girls in Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs and La Quinta.
