Police Ask for Help Catching Armed Robbery Suspects

Two men allegedly clubbed a woman on the head and robbed her, and remained at large Sunday.

The attack was reported Saturday at 8:47 p.m. on the 2900 block of Landau Boulevard when the victim was hit on the head with a blunt object as she got some things out of her car, said Police Sgt. Albert Ruiz.

When the victim looked up she saw her attackers take something from her car and run away, Ruiz said. Police did not say what was taken.

The victim was treated on the scene by paramedics for small cuts on her head. The suspects were both holding handguns and the victim thinks she was pistol whipped, said Police Sgt. Andrew Diaz.

The suspects are two black males between 16-20 years of age and standing 5′ 8″ tall. They are both thin and with short hair. One was wearing a white t-shirt. They may have been hiding in an alleyway on Tacheveh Drive before the incident, according to Ruiz.

Police are looking for leads, he said. Officials asked anybody with information about this incident to call the Cathedral City Police Department at (760) 770-0300.
