Census Workers Push To Get You Counted

It’s not too late to be counted, even if you didn’t send back your Census form.

Riverside County’s “Complete-Count Committee” will meet in Cabazon this afternoon to talk about the response rate.

Only 68-percent of households in Riverside County have sent their surveys back.

That’s below the national average which is 72-percent, and also lower than the rate during the last Census in 2000.

The government uses the Census to determine the amount of funding devoted to local services.

Everyone is invited to today’s meeting which starts at 2pm in the Jim Venable Community Center.
