High Speed Chase Ends In Cathedral City; Suspects On The Loose

A police chase that sped as high as 90 miles-per-hour wound through Cathedral City and Palm Springs, today.

It started at 11:42am, according to police, when Cathedral City Police tried to pull over a car driving recklessly at Sky Blue Water Trail and 33rd Avenue. The 2010 white Toyota Camry did not stop, and sped away at 80 miles-per-hour.

Police chased the car onto Dinah Shore, then up to Gene Autry trail.

It’s then the speeds reached 90-miles-per-hour, and police decided to back off fearing public safety.

The car was later found in the Rio Vista area of Cathedral City at the corner of Medano Road near Ventura Drive. The two people who were inside ran off, and are still on the loose.

The only description police had of the two men was both were Hispanic.
