CHP Cruiser Involved In Crash On Highway 86

A CHP officer is recovering after a crash in Coachella.

It happened around 12:15pm Sunday on the 86 Expressway at Dillon Road.

Officers say an 18-year-old man rear-ended the CHP cruiser parked on the shoulder of the Dillon on-ramp.

The officer is a 13-year veteran of the force. He was taken to JFK Hospital with minor injuries.
