Cool Centers Open When Temperatures Reach 100 Degrees
Three conveniently located Cool Centers for residents in need of temporary relief from the heat will be available in Palm Springs when temperatures reach over 100 degrees.
The Cool Centers, coordinated by the City of Palm Springs and the County of Riverside, will be open to the public on a drop-in basis when the Riverside County Department of Public Health issues a “Heat Warning” announced on your television, radio, or in the local newspaper.
Cool Centers in Palm Springs will be located at:
Mizell Senior Center 480 S. Sunrise Way (760) 323-5689 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Friday (Seniors only)
The Golden Rainbow Center 700 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, Suite F 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday
James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center 480 Tramview Road (760) 323-8271 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday
