Cabazon, Whitewater Hit By Power Outage

Residents in the cities of Whitewater and Cabazon are without power, today, after Southern California Edison experienced an equipment failure.

SCE officials say they hope to have power restored by 1pm.

Power went out at 9pm last night in the area.

Yesterday, nearly 4,000 people were without power and air conditioning all day after repairs left to an equipment failure in Palm Desert. Power went out at 4:47am and was restored at 10pm.

Temperatures today are supposed to be somewhere between 100 and 105-degrees.
