Man Charged With Couple’s Death Nearly One Year After Accident
A man who police say crashed into the car of an elderly couple, last year, was charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter, Thursday.
Forty-five year old Ismael Laboy was arrested at 10:15am and booked into the Banning Jail on charges stemming from the accident.
Investigators say Laboy’s car crashed into a car driven by Clyde Mildred Arnett of Yucaipa on June 24, 2009. They later died of their injuries.
It’s believed they were in the area to watch a cap to nuclear reactor roll through the valley on a semi-truck.
Police say Laboy also sustained significant injuries.
