Car Accident Lands Vehicle In Canal
A person suffered moderate injuries, Tuesday afternoon, after a car drove over an embankment, and ended up on its side in a canal, authorities said.
The accident was reported during the noon hour on Dillon Road near Sky Valley. The driver had to be cut out of the car, according to police on the scene.
The driver, 58-year-oldFrank Cruz Martinez of Desert Hot Springs, of the silver Ford Mustang was taken to a nearby hospital.
Rescue crews say the location of the crash made it especially tricky since the car was on its side down a hill.
The cause of the crash is not known.
