Martha’s Village And Kitchen Helps Victims Of Easter Quake

Two-thousand people are still homeless in Mexicali, Mexico today after Easter?s 7.2 magnitude earthquake.

The Berger Foundation donated $75,000 to Martha’s Village and Kitchen for relief efforts Monday.

The money will provide food and personal hygiene items for thousands of homeless people in Mexico.

The quake destroyed homes and agricultural resources leaving many people homeless and unemployed.

?Normally you get $50, $200 takes care of a family for a month,? said Father Joe Carroll of Martha?s Kitchen. ?This allows us to buy in bulk and immediately get the help to the people in need.?

Martha’s Village and Kitchen has provided more than $150,000 in relief aid.
