Two Local Cities Back Arizona’s Anti-Illegal Immigration Law
The Riverside County cities of Hemet and Lake Elsinore on Tuesday night approved proclamations in support of Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration law, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The city councils of both municipalities voted in favor of resolutions that stated agreement with the Arizona law that allows law enforcement officials to check the immigration status of people that have been stopped for another reason.
The Hemet City Council unanimously approved its measure. Lake Elsinore’s council voted 4-1 in favor of its proclamation.
