Gas Prices Hold Steady Driving Into Fourth Of July Weekend

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire was unchanged today for the second time in three days, remaining at $3.114, a day after rising a half-cent.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 4 cents more than a week ago, 10.2 cents higher than a month ago and 13.1 cents above this time last year, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

“At the moment gas prices are going nowhere fast,” Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California told City News Service.

“We’re still within range of this time last year,” she said. “You’re still going to find some gas stations out there under $3 a gallon, just not as many as we’d like.”
