Explosive Device Left Outside Pedley Fire Station

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies and fire investigators are on the scene of an explosive device left outside a fire station in the town of Pedley.

Sheriff’s officials say they believe someone dropped it off to be disposed of, but believe it still may be dangerous.

The call came in at 10:21 a.m., Tuesday, and mentioned a “propellant explosive” at the back door of the Pedley Fire Station along the 9200 block of Limonite Avenue.

No one has been evacuated.

Pedley is 62 miles west of Palm Springs near Riverside and Corona.
