Two Arrested In Morongo Sex Offender Sweep

Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department conducted a Compliance Sweep of registered sex offenders living in the Morongo Basin, Friday, resulting in two arrests.

Deputies say they contacted nearly 40 registrants at their homes to make sure they were in compliance with the terms and conditions of their registration requirements.

During the compliance sweep, deputies made two arrests.

One person was arrested for an active warrant, and one subject was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, which is prohibited for sex offenders under California’s penal code.
