Two youths were seriously injured today and two others were also hurt in a rollover crash on eastbound Interstate 10 near Blythe.

A gold-colored Chevrolet Trailblazer rolled several times into the median near mile marker 124 about 1:20 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer John Quintero said.

Two medical helicopters were sent to pick up two patients, 10 and 16 years old, Quintero said. The teenager suffered major injuries, and the other youth suffered head trauma, according to the CHP.

One of the youths was thrown from the SUV, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
