Brush Fire Shuts Down Interstate 5 Northbound Near Newhall
A brush fire has erupted off the 5 Freeway near Weldon Canyon and all lanes of northbound traffic have been shut down.
The fire was reported around 11:40 a.m. with initial reports saying that cars were actually driving through flames.
County and city firefighters are battling the blaze from the ground.
The acreage estimate was not immediately available.
