3.4 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Borrego Springs

A 3.4 magnitude earthquake shook an area near Borrego Springs on Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake’s picenter was 9 miles north northwest of Borrego Springs, 32 miles south of Palm Springs, and hit at 1:47 p.m.

There were no reports of injuries.

This is the same area that experienced the earthquake on July 7 that shook the entire Coachella Valley.
