Three Youths Arrested After Attempted Carjacking
Desert Hot Springs police told News Channel 3 they’re investigating a possible attempted carjacking on Wednesday afternoon.
Sgt. Dan Bressler said the incident happened at 1:11 p.m. on the 14100 block of Palm when a man was hit by some sort of blunt object, either a rifle or pipe.
The victim told investigators a window was also broken out of his car by one of three young people. He managed to get away, and keep his car out of their hands. The three youths ran off, he said.
The victim helped investigators track down the three he said attacked him in the area of West and 6th Street. The two males and female were in a gray colored Ford Focus.
The weapon wasn’t found.
One of the three suspects was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for medical problems related to taking crystal meth, said Sgt. Bressler.
Their names haven’t been released.
