Three Cars Involved In Highway 111 Crash
Traffic was tied up at the intersection of Highway 111 and Monterey in Palm Desert on Friday afternoon after a three car accident landed an SUV upside down.
The accident happened at 4:30 p.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
A worker at the Walgreens near the intersection told News Channel 3 anchor Karen Devine she could clearly see an SUV on its roof, but could tell how serious the damage was to any other vehicles.
One of KESQ’s Twitter followers told us traffic was being diverted to Westfield Shopping Town, and it was a messy traffic jam.
Two people were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
