4.2 Earthquake Hits Baja California

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit the Mexicali area on Tuesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor hit at 2:43 p.m. with an epicenter 19 miles south south-east of Mexicali and 22 miles south south-east of Calexico.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.

This is the same area rocked by the moderate earthquake that hit on Easter Sunday.
