They reported a thunderstorm producing flash flooding in that specific area. One spotter reported water 8-to-12 inches deep on Hilton.

A caller to KESQ reported three-quarters of an inch of rain in less than an hour shortly after 3:00 p.m. That was after several minutes of pea-size hail.

Other trained spotters reported flowing water on paved and unpaved roads, hail damaged plants and dime-size hail.

Other roadways in the area have water problems as well with several vehicles reported stuck in the high water.

The storm decreased in intensity as the sun set, but light to moderate rain could add to traffic issues within the area.

The National Weather Service also warned travelers to be aware of runoff from the earlier rains causing flood problems into the evening.
