House Fire Leaves Four Homeless In Indio

Firefighters put out a fire that burned a home in Indio late Wednesday night.

They arrived at the home on the 8300 block of Mesquite around 11:30 p.m.

They say flames shot through the roof and got up 20 to 30 feet high.

About two dozen firefighters knocked out the blaze in about a half hour.

No one injured.

The four people inside the home got out safe.

Crews say the home is a total loss.

The Red Cross came out to help the victims.

So far, authorities do not know what caused the fire.
