Two Earthquakes Rattle Area South of Salton Sea

Two earthquakes shook an area south of the Salton Sea this morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The first one measured 3.7 in magnitude and hit at 7:34 a.m. about 30 miles west of El Centro and 35 miles south south-east of Borrego Springs.

No one was injured.

The second measured 3.4 in magnitude and was centered 2 miles southeast of Ocotillo and 24 miles west south-west of El Centro.

It hit at 9:47 a.m. No one was injured.
