Early Morning Shooting Leaves Teen Dead
A teenage boy was fatally shot in Coachella today, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The homicide occurred about 1:21 a.m. at a house party in the 84700 block of Calle Pino, according to Lt. Terry Hudson of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to the scene and found a teenage boy lying in the backyard of the house suffering from a gunshot wound, Hudson said.
Angel Bernal-Flores, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The investigation was continuing, no arrests have been made, and no suspects identified publicly, the lieutenant said.
