One Person Killed In Palm Springs Accident

Palm Springs police confirm one man was killed Friday morning in a car accident near Ruth Hardy Park.

The accident was reported around 8:00 a.m. on Tamarisk Road. Police said the driver of a small sports utility vehicle crashed into a parked van.

Investigators told News Channel 3 the driver didn’t apply the brakes to the car, leading them to believe his health may have been compromised. He later complained of chest pains.

Mark T. Hannah, 65, died after arriving at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.

Avenida Caballeros was shut down for a short time due to the investigation.
