Suspect Arrested After Stabbing In Cathedral City

Thirty-four year-old Guillermo Ramirez was in custody on Sunday, after being accused of stabbing another man during a fight.

It happened Sunday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. on the 33800 block of Avenida El Pueblo in Cathedral City.

Police said during the fight, the victim pulled out a BB gun and pointed it at Ramirez. Ramirez then allegedly stabbed the victim several times in his side between the ribs.

Ramirez was arrested at the scene.

Both were taken to Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs, and were expected to be OK.
