Illegal Prescriptions And Weapons Seized In La Quinta Apartment

A La Quinta man was arrested on Tuesday when authorities found hundreds of prescription pills packaged for illegal distribution along with two firearms.

A spokesperson said the Coachella Valley Narcotic Task Force served a search warrant at the Silver Hawk Apartments on the 50600 block of Eisenhower in La Quinta.

Inside, they found the packages of prescription pills and firearms.

The apartment is located within 1,000 feet of Franklin Elementary School.

Cody Hancock, 20, was arrested an booked in the Riverside County Jail in Indio and faces charges of possession for sales and possession for sale within 1,000 feet of a school.
