Organizers Cancel Coachella Valley Latino Film Fest
Organizers of the Second Annual Coachella Valley Latino International Film Festival confirmed that they have canceled this year’s event.
Instead of this year, a spokesperson told News Channel 3 they hope to hold the festival next fall.
Organizers had hoped to hold the event Friday through Sunday, but could not find a home for the festival or garner the needed support from Indio.
Florence Figueroa, producer of the film festival said she is open to holding the event in another Coachella Valley city if there is interest.
The festival features independent films that promote the Latino culture, family and social-political themes.
