Marine Deserter Arrested After Domestic Disturbance Call

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man on Thursday when the discovered he had two warrants out for his arrest for deserting the U.S. Marine Corps.

Kaderrious McCoy, 20, of Twentynine Palms, was taken into custody after his girlfriend told deputies he burst his way into her home and assaulted her. Deputies found McCoy in the front yard.

A records check revealed the two active warrants for McCoy.

Deputies confiscated an iPod from McCoy, and later found it was stolen from a burglary on Sept. 30.

Detectives served a search warrant at his home in the 6200 block of Allen Road later that night, and discovered several other items stolen in that burglary. Three firearms, ammunition and one ounce of marijuana were also found in the home.

McCoy was arrested and is being held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center.
